The Blooming Heart School of Health provides a 5-week CNA program that includes classroom instruction, lab practice, and clinical rotations. Morning classes run 9:00 AM–2:30 PM, while evening sessions are 6:00–10:00 PM for the first four weeks and 5:00–10:00 PM in week five, Monday through Friday. Students may not miss more than two days or risk dismissal. Applications are submitted directly to Blooming Heart; if selected for ULCC funding, students must also complete a ULCC program application and a Mecklenburg County consent form. Admission requires a negative TB test, Hepatitis B record or declination, physical exam, proof of high school completion or higher, and Blooming Heart’s application and interview forms. ULCC only funds specific CNA classes announced on its website, and the program prepares students to sit for the North Carolina Nurse Aide I exam. Graduates may find employment in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living, home health, or specialty clinics, with ULCC providing additional career coaching and job placement support. For enrollment questions, contact Blooming Heart School of Health (5500 Executive Center Dr., Suite 221, Charlotte, NC 28212, 980-430-3102, info@bloominghearts.net), and for funding or post-training support, contact the Urban League of Central Carolinas.
