This Women’s History Month, we’re proud to spotlight our board
member, Megan Turner 🤍 It started with a job. But it changed my life. ✨ “My first opportunity didn’t just provide a paycheck — it gave me exposure, mentorship, confidence, and a true seat at the table. That’s why the work being done at the Urban League of Central Carolinas means so much to me. Because when someone gains access to a quality job, it creates stability, restores dignity, and builds generational impact. It starts with a job — but it transforms a life.”

In a recent interview with @tamronhallshow , @fettywap1738 shared
his journey of looking beyond the music industry and finding a new lane in the HVAC trade. It’s a reminder that no matter where you start, there is always room to master a new skill and secure your future. At the Urban League of Central Carolinas, we believe your past doesn’t define your potential—your hustle does. Our workforce program is designed for people who are ready to build. The Urban League of Central Carolinas offers free training in high-demand trades like HVAC and electrical work—empowering individuals to start strong careers, debt-free. But there’s a workforce crisis: The U.S. needs 80,000+ electricians every year for the next 5 years (Forbes). Our students are ready to help meet that demand and build stronger communities in the process. 💼 Good-paying jobs don’t just change lives—they transform communities. 👉🏾Learn more at www.urbanleaguecc.org link in bio #WorkforceDevelopment #SkilledTrades #FutureOfWork #HVAC #Electricians UrbanLeague CharlotteNC
