Being an advocate for African Americans and underserved communities is part of our history and mission, starting in 1910 with the National Urban League and continuing in 1978 with the Urban League of Central Carolinas.
ULCC stands as a powerful force for change, using its voice to drive equity, justice, and opportunity. Through bold advocacy, strategic partnerships, and impactful initiatives, we empower communities, mobilize voters, and fight for racial and social justice — creating lasting change where it's needed most.
ULCC actively advocates for fair voting access, working to protect the rights of marginalized communities. Through initiatives like Stroll to the Polls, we mobilize residents, educate voters, and inspire participation in the democratic process.
Partnering with healthcare organizations and community leaders, ULCC played a crucial role in promoting vaccine education and ensuring access to COVID-19 vaccines, particularly in underserved neighborhoods.
Whether marching in solidarity, hosting public forums, or collaborating with local organizations, ULCC continuously takes a stand against racial and social inequities — amplifying voices that need to be heard and promoting policies that foster equality.
As part of a partnership with the National Urban League, we worked to mobilize as many people as possible. Through social media, voter registration caravans, rallies, and virtual events, we equipped our communities with the facts and resources they need to make their voices heard.
In partnership with the National Action Network, the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation, and the United States Centers for Disease Control, we have united to help combat the COVID-19 pandemic by helping our communities become informed about the vaccines and empowered to make the best decisions for themselves, their families, and their communities.
By donating, you’re investing in the future of individuals and families, helping to break down barriers and create opportunities for success. Join us in making a lasting impact.
