Through our Workforce Development Training Programs, we provide our clients with the skills, tools, and certification status needed for high-demand careers. If you are unemployed, underemployed, or simply looking for a change, we welcome you to enroll in one of our program offerings.

Step 1.
Complete the program interest form for enrollment consideration.
Step 2.
After completing the interest form, if you meet the screening qualifications, you will be prompted to complete the Workforce Training Program application.
Step 3.
Your application will be reviewed based on program eligibility requirements.
Step 4.
Prospective students will meet with ULCC staff for in-person interviews.
Step 5.
Eligible job seekers will be invited to an information session to learn about program requirements and expectations.

(Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning)
This 12-week program is focused on the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to be ready for certification and immediate entry-level employment. Topics include mechanical refrigeration, heating and cooling theory, electricity, controls, safety, and renewable energy.
While in training, participants will earn the National EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
The Nurse Aide 1 Program is a 112-hour, NC State-approved training course that provides the core knowledge and skills to provide quality health care to patients in nursing homes, hospitals, home care, rehabilitation, and assisted living facilities.
Students will be taught how to care for residents and patients with empathy. This includes principles of basic personal care (hygiene, grooming, bathing), dressing, feeding, transferring, and assisting with mobility.
This 12-week program prepares students for careers in the trades as an electrician. Topics include electrical wiring and components, electrical substations, stationary machines, and related equipment — all skills needed to obtain entry-level employment in this sought-after field.
Electrical careers could include data and cable lines, airplanes, and mobile platforms.
The Urban League of Central Carolinas is pleased to offer no-cost online certification courses in Microsoft Suite, Agile Professional (Project Management), and Customer Service/Universal Banking.
