Supports young adults ages 18–24 who have been impacted by the justice system or other systemic barriers. Through comprehensive workforce training and mentorship, the program empowers participants to gain valuable skills and transition into living-wage employment.
The Opportunity Youth Program by the Urban League of Central Carolinas is designed for young adults ages 18–24 who’ve faced barriers such as justice system involvement or systemic inequities. This initiative offers a second chance—reconnecting youth with purpose, passion, and a pathway to success.
Participants receive hands-on support including life and career skills training, GED or college prep, and direct connections to workforce opportunities. The program equips each youth with the tools to move from classroom to career confidently and competitively.
Each young adult develops an Individual Development Plan (IDP) and gains access to a full network of wraparound services: mental health resources, housing assistance, transportation, and mentorship—meeting them where they are and helping them move forward.
Through internships, pre-apprenticeships, and on-the-job training, youth are placed in environments that cultivate leadership and sustainability. This program isn’t just about jobs—it’s about transforming lives and creating long-term change.
By donating, you’re investing in the future of individuals and families, helping to break down barriers and create opportunities for success. Join us in making a lasting impact.
