Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Outreach

SNAP Outreach is designed to raise awareness of the Food and Nutrition Services Program. The Urban League of Central Carolinas does this by educating eligible people in the Piedmont, Northeast, and Western regions of North Carolina about SNAP benefits, requirements, eligibility, and the application process.

The Train the Trainer

A component of ULCC's SNAP Outreach grant is dedicated to equipping local volunteers, community-based organization leaders, faith-based leaders, and nonprofit and medical staff with comprehensive SNAP education. This training aims to bolster their ability to educate and support the community regarding SNAP benefits, eligibility, application processes, and the importance of accessing healthy nutritious foods.
