SNAP Outreach is designed to raise awareness of the Food and Nutrition Services Program. The Urban League of Central Carolinas does this by educating eligible people in the Piedmont, Northeast, and Western regions of North Carolina about SNAP benefits, requirements, eligibility, and the application process.
We offer workshops and trainings to educate people about SNAP benefits, eligibility, and the application process.
Our team provides one-on-one support to help applicants complete and submit their SNAP applications accurately. We offer ongoing assistance to applicants, helping them navigate any issues and ensuring they receive their benefits.
We supply informational materials to ensure applicants have all the necessary information and resources.
A component of ULCC's SNAP Outreach grant is dedicated to equipping local volunteers, community-based organization leaders, faith-based leaders, and nonprofit and medical staff with comprehensive SNAP education. This training aims to bolster their ability to educate and support the community regarding SNAP benefits, eligibility, application processes, and the importance of accessing healthy nutritious foods.
We organize pop-up events at community locations to reach more people and provide on-the-spot application assistance.
By donating, you’re investing in the future of individuals and families, helping to break down barriers and create opportunities for success. Join us in making a lasting impact.
